Golden yellow, slightly cloudy. Lemon peel, oatmeal, honey and almonds on the nose. Elegant, light, zippy, zesty, slightly tannic in the mouth. Lots of pleasant lime/gooseberry acidity, full of life and energy.
A blend of Hárslevelű and Sauvignon Blanc from 12-15 years old vines grown on volcanic adesite soil base and brown forest top soil in the Mátra region in northern Hungary. Organic agriculture. Natural vinification. No wood, no filtration or fining.
65% Hárslevelű, 35% Furmint grapes.
Hárslevelű is a mix of whole cluster and slightly broken bunches fermented together for about two weeks in closed containers. Furmint was fermented separately, some got pressed directly, some were left one the skin for 1 week. Both plastic fermenters and fiberglass were used to make it. The final blend was made in August 2023.
