This fine 100% Syrah comes from the Benslimane region of Morocco, 30 km northeast of Casablanca. Moroccan wine has a long history with evidence of wine-making dating 2,000 years ago. Ouled Thaleb winery was built in 1923 during the French protectorate, a heyday period for the Moroccan wine.
French knowhow behind the wine as it was made by Alain Graillot, respected french winemaker from Crozes Hermitage, Rhône and Jacques Poulain, french oenologist working at the Ouled Thaleb winery. The vineyards were worked manually, the wine was matured in oak barrels and concrete.
