Haghtanak (victory in Armenian) is an Armenian grape crossed in 1977. It's a crossing of 40 years October Revolution (a crossing of Moldovian Kopchak and French Alicante Buche) with Saperavi native to Eastern Georgia. Haghtanak has red pulp (teinturier grape) and produces dark, tannic and powerfull reds.
