Georgian natural amber/orange wine. Exotic, interesting, complex, greatly balanced. Wild herbs and flowers, black tea and bergamot aromatics. Fresh, lively accidity, dried fruit and nuts in the mouth. Gently tannic and food friendly!Â
Try it with grilled red or white meats and vegetables. It will also match with spicy/aromatic oriental dishes. You can drink this wine throughout a whole meal (with your starter, main course and a cheese board!)
A blend of Rkatsiteli, Kisi, Kakhuri Mtsvane and Khikhvi native grapes, a favourite of the 18th century Georgian king Erekle.Â
Grapes are grown at Casreli vineyards in Kakheti (Eastern Georgia), on the right bank of river Alazani, in the village Vachnadziani, Shaioant Akhoebi, 450 meters above sea level, in dry, hot climate area on a rocky and silty soil.Â
Organic agriculture, natural vinification and ageing in qvevri (clay amphora) for 7 months. Unfiltered, minimal sulfites added (total 35mg/l).
