Dried peach, tea leaves, wildflowers, honey, herbs. Supple texture, light body, perfectly balanced acidity. Great choice for anyone wanting to explore the world of Georgian amber/orange wines.
A blend of Kisi, Khikhvi, Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli, all grapes native to Georgia, grown in a single plot that is sustainably maintained. Harvested by hand, briefly macerated for two days and aged for one year in a traditional Georgian Qvevri, a clay amphora buried in the earth.
“TAKO is not a grape name. Tako is the name of my beautiful wife. She is not only beautiful, but also very charming and elegant like this wine. For that reason decided to call this wine on behalf of her. I hope you also will love this wine, like I do :-) Wine is made naturally without any additives or added SO2 (sulphur) from field blend of organically treated 4 different varietals: Kisi, Khikhvi, Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli. Wine is made in qevi, with short period of skins contact. It is not filtered, not clarified and appearance of sediment is to be expected”.
Crafted by George Wolski in Khashmi village, Kakheti, eastern Georgia.
