Ararat is a brand of Armenian brandy produced by the Yerevan Brandy Company established in 1887. "Vaspurakan (Armenian: Վասպուրական, Western Armenian pronunciation: Vasbouragan) was the eighth province of the ancient kingdom of Armenia, which later became an independent kingdom during the Middle Ages, centered on Lake Van. Located in what is now southeastern Turkey and northwestern Iran, the region is considered to be the cradle of Armenian civilization". From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Vaspurakhan is made with local grapes from the Ararat valley containing some varieties that are only found in Armenia. 13 white grapes are used in total, with the main grapes being Voskehat, Garan Dmak and Kangun. Matured and aged for 15 years in Caucasian oak casks.
