Super drinkable bright and clean elegant red with a touch of spice and herbs.
Will match beatifully with pure, simple organic food.
Grape: Kekfrankos (Blaufränkisch) from 12-15 years old organic vines in the Mátra (Nagyréde wine district in Hungary).
Soil: volcanic ash base soil with brown forest topsoil.
Winemaking: 50 % of the whole production gets a gentle crushing of the bunches, short and light maceration, 4-5 days only, together with the stems. Fermentation continues in plastic and fiberglass before bottling. The remaining 50 % macerates in a mix of crushed and destemmed berries, layered with whole uncrushed bunches for 14 days. Everything gets pressed in a basket press before transferring into the next vat for maturation.
