Georgian natural wine. Dried sage, thyme, honey and baked apples aromas. Pure and precise. Powerful and remarkable.

A rare blend of native Georgian grapes: 50% Tetri Chitistvala (Bird's Eye, rare and forgotten grape variety), 30% Kisi, 20% Rkatsiteli.

Fermented on the skins and aged for 7 months in qvevri (clay amphora). Bottled without clarification, filtration, fining.  Alc 12%, total sulphites 42mg/l. Only 2,000 bottles made.

Casreli was founded by five colleagues, medical doctors passionate about wine and winemaking according to Georgian traditions. Own vineards, 450m above the sea level, right bank of Alazani valley, Vachnadziani village, Gurjaani municipality, Kakheti region, Eastern Georgia.

“Five doctors created Casreli in 2015, initially just to make wine for themselves. Using entirely their own organically farmed fruit, in a blend based on the rare Tetri Chitistvala variety, they’ve created a thrilling wine made in the traditional Kakhetian manner – six months in the Qvevri with skins and stems. Rosemary and sage aromas open into baked fruits, honey, woodsmoke; tight structure, all brought together by a delicious streak of acidity. Drink 2020-2025”
