Grape variety:Â 100% Malvazija
Malvazija Alda underwent 3 weeks of skin contact, which gives it remarkable depth, refined structure, and expressive aromatics, while preserving the delicate identity of the variety.
The wine displays a deep golden-yellow hue with subtle amber and orange highlights – a result of natural extraction and slow development.
Aromas: The bouquet opens with notes of dried figs, candied citrus peel, acacia honey, chamomile, and a hint of pine nuts. Mediterranean herbs and fine spice nuances add complexity, while a firm mineral backbone—typical of our soil—grounds the wine beautifully.
Cultivation:Â Organic, partly biodynamic
Maceration:Â 3 weeks of skin contact
Vinification:Â Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts
Maturation:Â 24 months in wooden barrels
Bottling:Â Unfiltered, bottled according to lunar phases
“We strive to use as little intervention as possible in bottling the life fluids of the vines and its grapes. Our wines encapsulate the qualities of the earth and the venerable traditions of Vipavska dolina. Our principal guide is that less is more."
