The grapes for this wine come from three different small plots, aging between 30 and 40
years. It’s a blend of Fernão Pires, Arinto and Vital grapes, all fermented and aged in
used 225 litre French oak barrels. The grapes are de-stemmed, pressed and the juice
decants in a stainless tank overnight with no temperature control. It's then moved to the
barrels where fermentation begins without adding any agents or nutrients, only a small
amount of sulfur. Bottled without any
finning or filtration (thus you may find some sediment at the bottom).
